OOC. NAME: Whatever you want the other players to call you. AGE: Self-explanatory. We don’t want any ‘underage’ players; 16+ please, and don’t lie. Uncool. EMAIL: So we know how to contact you if and when we have to. MESSENGER(S): Specify which messenger services you can and cannot use. TIMEZONE: Where you come from (EST, GMT etc). JOURNAL: The journal you intend to use for the character. PB: The player-basis you plan to use to represent the character.
IC. NAME: Self-explanatory. ALIAS(ES): Anything your character might otherwise be known as, for whatever reason. AGE: Self-explanatory. Include birth date here as well for your own reference. NOTE: Remember the game is set in 2018. RACE: Mutant or Human. AWARE OF MUTATION: Yes or No. This field can be removed from Human applications. POWERS: Only applies to Mutants, and can be removed from Human applications; be in-depth about their abilities so the other players know what’s taken and what they’re dealing with. Include downsides here as well, as opposed to in Limitations. OCCUPATION: Remember the restrictions of the Complex, and what jobs would be available; don’t take something that’s already tapped out.
APPEARANCE: What they look like, obviously. This includes alternate forms, for whose who might have them (e.g. metamorphs). Include their trademark attire, preferences and items of jewellery; the little facts are fun, right? PERSONALITY: Self-explanatory. This should be in-depth, but not unnecessarily drawn-out. SKILLS: Any abilities that have been learned; self-defence, linguistics, dancing etc. LIMITATIONS: Any weaknesses, physical, mental etc. Every character must have at least one physical weakness. HISTORY: Self-explanatory. No need to write a novel, but give us an idea of where they’ve been and what they’ve done.
WRITING SAMPLE: We want to see what you’re capable of, so show us a sample here, and be creative with it. We’d prefer this as opposed to a link to old work, because styles do change, and we want to know what you can do now.
