POST-WAR TECH INFO.
JOURNAL SYSTEM
The journal system on Deliverance works as it does in any journal based RPG, but here's a basic overview to make things clear:
- The internet exists largely as it is today.
- All computers can link up to the journal system AND the internet
- Entries can be made private to specific people or to groups, i.e. "Private to Aiden" or "Private to Teachers" and these should be placed under an lj-cut.
OTHER TECH
Cell phones - They exist, as do pagers and PDAs but it is entirely up to you whether your character has, wants or needs one. As a side note, landlines also exist.
Television & Radio - The only new thing on the TV is news nowadays, a post-nuclear war world doesn't have the time or resources to make TV shows or movies. Any dramas or doctumentaries etc are repeats. The same thing goes for radio, there is basically no new music being played, while people may still compose it in their free time there is no music industry to promote or even make records.
Cars/Transport - As with cell phones this is down to a character by character decision, some characters might even drive a motorcycle if they so wish but the frequent snowfall is somethign to be considered. There is a perfectly functioning shuttle service that will take residents from their apartment block to major destinations such as those mentioned here; the Medlab, School, Rostat, etc. There are also a limited humber of taxis.
